Passerines

Marsh Warbler. The passerine migration at Batumi can be equally as impressive as the raptors. Some days the migration of pipits, wagtails, hirundines and finches is mind boggling. You can literally see Russia emptying of birds.

Yellowhammer

Skylarks

Common Redstart. Strong secondary panel might point to samimisicus.

Wood Pigeons

Roller

Bee-eaters

Juvenile Red-backed Shrike. An extremely confiding bird present for several days at Station 1.

Red-backed Shrike, adult male

Leucistic Barn Swallow

Yellow Wagtail, presumably feldegg. Very loud shreeep call.
